Farmer, chancellor of the Archdiocese of Mobile, will
conduct a Novena to the Sacred Heart at the Visitation
Monastery, Thursday, May 22 through Friday, May 30,
2008. This is the eighty-third year for this
observance at the monastery, which is marking the one
hundred seventy-fifth anniversary of its foundation in
Mobile.
Throughout the days of the novena the Blessed
Sacrament will be exposed from 8:30 A.M. until 3:00
P.M., and Mass will be celebrated at 5:30 P.M. All
are welcome to spend time in adoration in the chapel
during these hours. Votive candles and intention
slips may be obtained at the chapel or by calling
251-473-2321. (The chapel is now handicapped
accessible.)
