House of Saint Joseph The Workman Retreat

The community of the House of St. Joseph The Workman in Fort Walton Beach, Florida has been going on retreat annually for many years. There are normally about 40 men and women in our group because we are joined by several people who serve with us and attend our Scripture and study-of-a saint classes.

Each retreat, so we say, is better than the last. The Lord never fails to send his Holy Spirit to minister to us according to each one's need. Over the years, we have grown in our faith, love of our church, and intimacy with God.

The nuns are so precious to us. We are very pleased that our retreat master priest can pray with and often anoint the nuns and minister to them.

The facility is very adequate. There are plenty of towels and linens, and the bathroom/shower facilities are clean,

functional, and plentiful. The food is tasty and there is always enough. We come back to the Visitation every year because it meets all our needs: spiritual, social, and financial.
